DNC Convention 2024 – Help me please get to Chicago!

Hello, I’m Joe Stutler, and I’m a Delegate to the Democratic Party National Convention. You might recognize me from various roles such as Vice Chair of the Iowa Veterans & Disability Caucuses, County Party Secretary, Hospitality Chair, Platform Secretary, or from working the grill at countless Party & Candidate events. Perhaps you know me from my contributions to the County Veteran Affairs and Marion Civil Rights Commissions, my involvement as a board member of several non-profits, my advocacy efforts at the Iowa Capitol, my appearances in VoteVets videos, or my leadership roles within the American Federation of Musicians and the Union-Veterans Council AFL-CIO.
I need your support! The delegates to the Iowa Democratic Party’s State Convention have elected me to represent Iowans at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this August and I’ll be collaborating with the Iowa Delegation to champion Iowa’s interests and Democratic values, while also advocating for Veterans & Military Families in my capacity as MidWest Regional Coordinator for the DNC’s Veterans and Military Families Council (VMFC).
It’s both an honor and a privilege, but it’s also expensive! When I say “expensive,” I’m not exaggerating. Hotel costs alone are estimated to be around $2500. For a disabled combat Veteran living on a fixed income, that’s a daunting figure. However, it’s not insurmountable—with a bit of help from you. Your contribution, whether large or small, will make a significant difference in getting my boots on the ground so my fellow delegates and I can continue to fight the good fight.
